Janella Pizarro, founder of Ginhawa Studios, is a Filipina ceramic artist based in San Diego. Inspired by the concept of "ginhawa," a word signifying breath, ease, prosperity, and life's essence in many Filipino languages, as well as sharing etymological roots across Austronesia, the work produced by Ginhawa Studios explores the life and spirit in the process of creativity and taking on new challenges, while also symbolizing the comfort and relief in reaching the end of the journey.
